For Lent and Advent each year we release a calendar to help the children in your life enter into the special season. You can download the calendar here.
To help children engage with the Christmas season in a special way, we’ve created a Christmas activity book, ‘Christmas Isn’t Just One Day’. It includes stories, puzzles, colouring-in, recipes and prayers – as well as a few ideas for parents. Find out more here.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place when children are led from the Sunday assembly during the Liturgy of the Word and celebrate separately a Liturgy of the Word more appropriate to their level of understanding. This offers children an opportunity to see, hear, say and do worship at their own level, including eye level. The appropriate use of symbols, gestures, movement and music suitable for a child’s understanding can heighten the experience of the transcendent and mirrors what is happening in the main assembly. Recruit and form a team of leaders and offer this engaging worship for young children in your parish! We are here to help!
Fun Days with God is a kit of ideas and activities for organising and running fun days with God for children in a parish or school, which includes prayer, drama, and activities to help children explore Gospel stories.
There are a total of 12 days run as whole or part days, based around Years A, B and C of the Church’s Liturgical seasons:

Primary aged youth groups are an opportunity for these young people to be invited into an encounter with Jesus Christ and to provide a place for them to belong within their Catholic Community. They also provide a significant opportunity for Catholic schools and parishes to collaborate in building strong and growing ministries to these young people.

Playgroups are an informal and relaxed opportunity for parents or caregivers and their children (not yet primary school aged) to connect in a parish setting. Volunteers from the parish support the parents/caregivers as they meet other local families and develop friendships in a safe environment.
A parish-based playgroup is about building relationships and creating a community around your church.
Contact us for more information about how a playgroup could enhance the Children and Families ministry of your parish.
We acknowledge and pay respect to Traditional Custodians on whose land we walk, live and worship.
